2020 . . . It's a Wonderful Year!

    12.01.20 |

God is good all the time; and because He is, we can find many good things that happened in 2020. From that view, it has been a wonderful year! We believe that years from now, we will all look back on 2020 as a time of incredible faith-building as we navigated so many challenges and unknowns together with the Lord.

We can report that despite all of it, this pandemic seems to have positioned us in a better place to launch out from in 2021. We are fresher as a team, more unified and relational with one another as well as our ministry locations and have strengthened relationships by investing significant time and humanitarian help into the precious people we serve in the region. Our team and network of 18 locations are celebrating the fact that our main church (Bethany in Calarasi) is almost finished with its building project. In addition, we are about to buy land and a building in the village of Galdau, the Bogata Community Center construction is moving along nicely, and our team has increased in number.

With the cancellation of our annual fundraiser earlier this year, due to Covid-19, along with watching our annual average of 300 international visitors, who normally raise funds for key projects disappear with the suspension of all travel since March, we have relied on God more than ever for daily provision as finances have dwindled. In this walk of faith, we were blessed to see God provide over and over again through our monthly sponsors and ministry partners which have been the most stable financial lifeline for us this year.

We are asking that you prayerfully consider making a special donation to OH before the end of the year that will help us provide for many ongoing needs we have as a growing ministry. For those of you who have given to OH over the past couple of months, as part of your year-end giving, we so appreciate you!

In summary, this year has been one of contemplation, evaluation of ministry and priorities, and implementing practical changes to focus more on our own relationship with the Lord and bringing people to Him more effectively. We are grateful that these changes have given us new opportunities to share the Gospel with many more people, especially those who are hurting and hopeless.

Approaching Christmas, we are very thankful for each of you and pray safety, health, and God’s abundant blessings on your lives. We trust that Christmas will be especially meaningful this year, as all of us hope for a wonderful 2021. Because God is good – all the time - It's a Wonderful Life!

    In Christ’s love and appreciation,
The OH Board of Directors and team in Romania
